Since its foundation Muir Myles Laverty have been active in the persuit of complex litigation on behalf of both corporate and personal clients. Litigation has always formed a major proportion of our practice.

In the area of family law we have successfully represented both marital partners and non-marital partners in dealing with the issue which arise follwing separation. This would include financial division and restructuring of matrimonial assets.

Unfortunately, when a couple separate it is the children that normally suffer. We offer practical advice uopn the residence of children and any disputes arising with regard to contact. It is always our aim to deal with matters sensitively and fairly but where necessary we will litigate aggressively on behalf of all out clients.

Meeting the costs of a case is a concern for some. While many firms are moving away from legal aid work, we remain commited to the provision of this service, where appropriate, for clients that qualify financially. If legal aid is not to be made available we will offer a competitive quote for the block of work to be undertaken or if this is not possible, we will discuss a reasonable rate or remuneration.
